St. Pete’s Super Greek Festival at St. Stefanos February 22-24, 2019
The St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church community of St. Petersburg will host its Super Greek Festival Friday through Sunday, February 22, 23, and 24 this year.

The event features a celebration of Greek food culture, tradition and dance. It will feature something for everyone who is interested to try some of greases authentic and fresh cuisine all.
All the food is made from scratch by volunteers from the church and the menu will feature some favorite such as pastitsio, dolmades, lamb shank, souvlaki, gyros, and the popular flaming Greek cheese known as saganaki.
Adult beverages will be available including Greek ouzo, Metaxa and Greek beer and wine.
After indulging in the Greek favorites for lunch or dinner festival goers will find a variety of pastries and suites including koulourakia, kourambiethes, bougatsa, finikia, diples, galaktoboureko, As well as crowd favorites baklava, and loukomathes.
Greek and Other Fun Entertainment
The super Greek last of all will feature a large outdoor covered area for lots of Greek dancing in the OPA! tent from DJ Ekelektos on Friday and Sunday, as well as DJ Phil the Thrill on Saturday night.
The Greek a band Demitri & The Islanders Will perform traditional Greek music throughout the weekend. The Saints Stefano’s Greek youth dance troupe KEFI Will be performing during the festival and teaching festival goers how to Greek dance for free!
For those who don’t want to dance but want to have a good time there will be a carnival with amusement rides and bounce houses, plus a rock wall, and lots of games for all ages.
Greek Culture and Faith
Saint Stefanos will be offering tours of its church and on Orthodox Christianity, as well as Greek culture and history lessons in its culture room where volunteers will give lessons on ancient Greece and the times of the Greek gods and goddesses.
Hours
The hours of the festival are 11 AM to 11 PM on Friday, February 22 and February 23. And on Sunday, February 24, from 11 AM to 6 PM.
Another great thing about the festival this year is that the church plans to donate $10,000 to orthodox and non-– Orthodox ministries and other nonprofits. So plan to attend!
Admission
Admission fees are three dollars per person or for five dollars a person you can have entry to the festival all weekend. Festival goers 12 and under as well as active military and law-enforcement and armed forces veterans as well as those over the age of 75 are all free! There is no charge for parking.
